Geneva V. Scott

Geneva V. Scott, 91, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was the daughter of the late Lester and Mazie Darst Roush. Born November 25, 1918 at Cheshire, Ohio. She was a graduate of Cheshire High School 1935. She married Lewis Scott and he preceded her in death after 61 years of marriage on June 22, 2001. Geneva was a faithful member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She loved her Lord, her family, also her Church family. Surviving are four sons, Alan Becky Scott, Allison Jennifer Scott, Randy Diana Scott, all of Gallipolis and Richard Kay Scott of Miller, Ohio. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Tandy Flint, Julie Smith, Denise Martin, Stephanie Scott, Kelly Hesson and Kyle Scott Also five step grandchildren, Lori Adkins, Chris Withee, Mack and Melissa McClung and Trudy Swartz and several great grandchildren. One sister survives, Betty Harold Walker of Gallipolis; three sisters-in-law, Jeanette Scott, Marjorie Bradbury, both of Gallipolis and Charlotte Frank Gunter of Charleston, West Virginia. Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband were two precious grandsons, Adam Scott and Jimmy Scott, also a sister, Ethel Bradbury Peters. Services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the First Church of the Nazarene, Gallipolis with Pastor Bob Fulton and Pastor Gene Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 from 6-9 p.m. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family. Pallbearers will be Justin Hesson, Carey Martin, Tyler Bullion, Ronnie Allison, Chris Withee, and Kyle Scott.
