George Allen Ehman

George Allen Ehman, 57, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at his residence. He was born on August 4, 1950 in Gallipolis, son of the late Albert and Virginia Bandy Ehman. He was a long-time member of Teamsters Local 505, a construction worker and hauled water for the community. He was currently employed by Midstates located at Kyger. George was a 1968 graduate of Southwestern High School. Surviving are his wife, Dianna Kay Shamblin Ehman of Gallipolis; two daughters, Lisa Ehman-Chapman of Gallipolis and Jennifer Ehman of Crown City; three grandchildren, Georgie Ehman, Cliff Chapman and Joseph Ehman; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Rita Ehman of Patriot, John Ehman of Gallipolis, James and Debbie Ehman of Patriot; two sisters, Jenny Fraley of Patriot and Nancy Ehman of Bidwell; an aunt, Dot Nibert of Gallipolis; sisters-in-law, Pat David Parsons of New York and Carolyn Jess Stevens of Gallipolis; several special nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews; and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Ehman, grandparents, George and Margaret Ehman and Jesse Bandy, an aunt and uncle Mary and Clarence E. John Johnson, and an uncle and aunt Theodore and Margaret Ehman. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 21, 2008 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Lamphier and Pastor David Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m, Thursday, March 20, 2008 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be John Ehman, James Ehman, Jim Nibert, John Ehman II, Trevor Ehman and Clinton Ashworth. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Ehman, Keith Ehman, Danny Green and Richard Green. Following the graveside services, a meal will be provided at Simpson Chapel, Lake Drive, Rio Grande, OH.
