George Everett Walker, 73, of Crown City, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the Holzer Medical Center. He was born February 22, 1939 in Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia, son of the late James S. Walker and Eva A. Wright Walker who survives him. George was a retired construction worker. He enjoyed building and racing stock cars and singing. Surviving are his mother, Eva A. Walker of Gallipolis; four children, Betty Sinner and George Walker, Jr., both of Florida, George Walker III of Cable, Ohio and Douglas Walker of Chillicothe; four grandchildren, Jackie Jacklyn, Jeanie Keisler, Chrisey Prater, and Debra Wease, all of Florida; several great grandchildren; six sisters, Amy (Leroy) Barnett of Gallipolis, Alice Redmond of Grove City, Joyce (Ossie) Flowers of Hilliard, Susie Siders, Rosemary (Truman) Johnson and Carolyn S. Burgess, all of Gallipolis; two brothers, Carrol Jean Walker and David S. Walker, both of Gallipolis; numerous nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his father, James S. Walker, two daughters Amanda and Debra, brother James J. Walker and two brothers and three sisters in infancy. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Truman Johnson and Rev. Jack Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 4-6 p.m.
