Gertrude Alberta Mees Erwin

Gertrude Alberta Mees Erwin, 90, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the Cabell Huntington Emergency Room, Huntington, WV. She was born January 16, 1918 in Pomeroy, daughter of the late Albert and Gertrude Smith Mees. Gertrude married Harold Erwin and he preceded her in death March 23, 2000. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Dr. Robert Winans of Big Sandy, Texas and her son, Robert Erwin of Gallipolis; one grandson, Dr. Robert Melanie Winans of Tyler, Texas; one granddaughter, Lori Bob Brady of Far Hills, New Jersey; four grandchildren, Hunter, Justin, Zach and Jesse; several nieces and nephews. Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold Erwin, brothers Max, Gilbert, Otto, and Richard Mees, a sister, Lucille Shay, and an infant brother and sister Frederic and Phyllis. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Mound Hill Cemetery with Rev. Scott Baker officiating.
