Gilbert Caldwell, 70, of Crown City, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Holzer Senior Care Center. He was born February 26, 1943 in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Morton and Elma Daniels Caldwell. Gilbert was with Teamster Local 505, Huntington, West Virginia. Surviving are his children, Chris (Rod) Clary and Tim (Susan) Caldwell, all of Crown City and Scott (Kim) Caldwell of Gallipolis; eight grandchildren, Staci Caldwell, Casey Clary, Brandon Caldwell, Wes Clary, Lexie Clary, Meghan Caldwell, Garrett Caldwell, Gracee Caldwell; three great grandchildren, Madison Carter-Clagg, Rylee Clary, Makenna Clary; sisters, Phyllis (Dan) Stidham of Gallipolis, Reta (Tom) Myers of Columbus, Judy (Larry) Hall, Vicki (Wayne) Elliott and Cindy (Mark) Cremeans, all of Gallipolis; brothers, Marion (Carolyn) Caldwell, Earl (Nelda) Caldwell and Mike (Martha) Caldwell, all of Gallipolis; a brother-in-law, Ross Fulks and a sister-in-law, Shelba Lanning. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Farrell “Sonny” Caldwell and a sister, Doris Fulks. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Ridgelawn Cemetery with Pastor Larry Hall and Pastor Dean Warner officiating. Friends may call at the Willis Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Casey Clary, Wes Clary, Brandon Caldwell, Garrett Caldwell, Davey Caldwell, and Wade Caldwell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Monty Swain, Kevin Swain, Darrell Price, and Rod Clary.
