Gladys Opal Bowyer

Gladys Opal Bowyer, 60, of Crown City, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Holzer Medical Center. She was born March 15, 1953 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Harry Lee and Macil Birchfield Raines. Surviving are two stepsons, Eugene Roach and Danny Roach, both of Gallipolis; two sisters, Betty Simms of Crown City and Wanda Garnes of Scottown; and two brothers, Gary Raines of Crown City and Jerry (Jo) Raines of Mercerville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bowyer in 2005 a sister Evelyn Buttrick and a brother Burl Raines. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Willis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Old Mercerville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12-1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
