Gladys Ekers Perroud

Gladys Ekers Perroud, 81, of Marysville, Ohio, formerly of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2008 at Memorial Hospital of Union County, Marysville, Ohio. She was born on May 20, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Oaky and Goldie Adams Ekers. Gladys married Charles Perroud on June 12, 1948 in Thurman and he preceded her in death in 1965. She was a retired waitress who enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Savonna Perroud of Marysville and son, Charles 'Chuck' Perroud of Vinton; three grandchildren, Tony Gretchen Perroud, Cory Cari Perroud and Cassie Brandon George; two great grandchildren, Austin and Aubrei; a brother-in-law, Teddy Amanda Perroud of Thurman; a sister-in-law, Anna Mae Perroud of Bidwell; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, a brother William E. Kidder, her stepfather Bill Kidder and a brother-in-law Paul Perroud. Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alvis Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thurman, Ohio.
