Glen E. Eblin

Glen E. Eblin, 82, of Vinton, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on July 4, 1925 in Eureka, Oh. The son of the late Bert Eblin and Lesta Eblin Gatewood. He served in the U.S. Marines and was a driver for Jenkins Concrete and Cremeans Concrete. Glen enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and working on lawnmowers. He married Gladys Pauline Sands Eblin on September 17, 1948 and from that union four sons were added.: Richard Melody Eblin of Vinton, Keith Tami Eblin of Vinton, Mike Judy Eblin of Gallipolis, and Marc Sandy Eblin of Gallipolis. Sixteen grandchildren: Angela Robert St. Clair, Gary Karen Truance, Jennifer Truance, Josh Sarah Truance, Richie Eblin, Adam Tara Eblin, Melanie Rick Vanco, Keith Heather Eblin, Jason Karen Eblin, Charity Robert Rausch, David Chasiti Eblin, Marc Eblin Jr., Jennifer Eblin, Jacob Eblin, Kelli Thomas, and Bryan Thomas. 26 great grandchildren. 2 sisters: Agnes Henderson and Olive Ashworth. Also special friends Lenora Dunaway, Loretta Sadie Keefer, Richard and Juanita Vinson. Glen was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Services will be on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Willis Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Paul Swords burial will follow at the Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 6-8 pm. Pallbearers will be Robert St. Clair, Adam Eblin, Richie Eblin, Gary Truance, Josh Truance, David Eblin, Jason Eblin and Keith Eblin.
