Glenna Elkins Triplett Holbrook, 63, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Holzer Medical Center. She was born May 10, 1948 in Lincoln County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Arthur and Mollie Cochran Elkins. She was a homemaker and member of Henderson Church of Christ. Glenna enjoyed crocheting, church activities, cooking and spending time with her family. Glenna endured two open heart surgeries at the OSU Medical Center. Surviving are her son, Stephen A. McCormick of Gallipolis; five sisters, Hester Fisher of Grayson, Kentucky, Anna (Stanley) Jones of Gallipolis, Elizabeth Elkins of Bidwell, Mary Elkins of Gallipolis, Dorcas (George) Pritchard of Deputy, Indiana; a brother, Paul Edward (Pat) Elkins of Patriot; her former husband, Stephen McCormick of Crown City; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Dr. Mary Fontana of the OSU Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Lionel B. Triplett, Jr. and Ralph E. Holbrook, a son Herbert A. Triplett, two brothers William Estes Elkins and Mack A. Elkins and a sister Martha Stanley. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Willis Funeral Home with Minister Bill Deem officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Eric Donovsky, Stephen A. McCormick, Paul Elkins, David Elkins, Stan Jones, and Aaron Jones.
