Glenvil Mcguire

Glenvil “Glen” McGuire, 88, of Waverly, Ohio passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Adena Hospital in Waverly, Ohio. Born on January 17, 1934 in Crown City, Ohio, Glen was the son of the late George and Laura (Walls) McGuire. Glen married Doris A. Fellure McGuire, who preceded him in death on January 22, 2019. He was a stationary engineer/manager for Lucent Technologies. Glen served in the United States Army. Glen is survived by his son, Ken (Cindy) McGuire of Lucasville, Ohio; grandchildren, Angie (Drew) Hays and Matt McGuire; great grandchild, Eden McGuire; twin brother, Linvil McGuire of Ashville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife Doris, Glen was preceded in death by five brothers, Thurman McGuire, Lester McGuire, Sherman McGuire, Marvin McGuire, and Stanford “Othie” McGuire and five sisters, Rosalee Dray, Mildred Schumacher, Geneva Cox, Corena Thompson, and Garnet Queen. The funeral service for Glen will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Schinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Military rites will be given by the Gallia County Funeral Detail at the cemetery.
