Gordon Scott Betz

Gordon Scott Betz, 47, of Crown City, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at his residence. Scott was born on April 30, 1962 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Robert S. Betz and Virginia K. Stone Betz who survives him. Scott was employed at the Gallipolis Developmental Center, a 1980 Graduate of Gallia Academy High School and a member of the Ohio Valley Masonic Lodge # 536 in Crown City, Ohio where he was a 32nd degree Mason. He is survived by his mother Virginia K. Betz of Gallipolis, a sister Bonita Mickey Oliver of Pt. Pleasant, WV; a brother Steve Judy Betz of Thurman, Ohio, nieces and nephews Michelle Larry Litchfield of Pt. Pleasant, Clinton Amanda Betz of Chillicothe, Lynn Oliver of Pt. Pleasant, Mark Amber Oliver of Pt. Pleasant, and Christy Kuhner of Jackson; three great nieces and four great nephews; his girlfriend, Mayra Infante of Crown City. Scott was preceded in death by his father Robert S. Betz in 1979. Graveside services will be 2 pm on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Mound Hill Cemetery With Pastor Dale Geiser officiating. Friends may call on Saturday afternoon from 4 pm to 6 pm at Willis Funeral Home. There will be a Masonic Service at the funeral home at 5:30 pm on Saturday by Ohio Valley Masonic Lodge # 536.
