Gregory Wayne Phillips

Gregory Wayne Phillips, 21, of Bidwell, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 30, 2008, at home surrounded by his family, following an extended illness. He was born October 9, 1986 in Gallipolis, son of Billy and Monna Phillips, who survive him. He was a 2005 graduate of River Valley High School and attended the University of Rio Grande. He was also a 10 year member of the Rad Raccoons 4-H Club. He was employed by Bob Evans. He is survived by his parents, Billy and Monna Phillips of Porter; a brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Jessica Phillips of Ripley, West Virginia; maternal grandparents, Farrell and Kay Houck of Bidwell; paternal grandparents, Bill and Sopha Phillips of Porter; an aunt, Cherie Smith of Mesa, Arizona; an uncle, Chuck Carol Phillips of Porter; four cousins, Chuckie Phillips, Lindsay Danny Taylor, Joshua and Carisa Smith. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Marlene Houck. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2008 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Chester Hess officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 from 6-9 p.m. Pallbearers will be Billy Phillips, Allen Phillips, Chuckie Phillips, Travis Fellure, Kyle Curry and Jake Saunders.
