Harlan C. Waugh

Harlan C. 'Bub' Waugh, 78, of Crown City, died Monday, May 24, 2010 at Scenic Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born June 21, 1931 in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Amel Edgar and Lyla Beatrice Beaver Waugh. He married Emma Jean Church in 1950 and to this union they had five children. He was a farmer, truck driver and a member of Teamsters Local #407 in Cleveland, Ohio. Surviving are a daughter, Janet Tom Fleck of Mantua, Ohio; three sons, Harlan Barbara Jean Waugh of Georgetown, Ohio, Rickie Mindie Waugh of Shalersville, Ohio and Charles Kevin Waugh of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; a son-in-law, James Fleck of Ravenna, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; six sisters, Mary Lou Curry of San Jose, California, Ines McGuire, Beatrice 'Bee' Johnson, Connie Johnson, all of Crown City, Fern Mooney and Karen Brownell, both of Gallipolis; four brothers, William Eugene Waugh of Gallipolis, Clarence 'Bill' Waugh of Warren, Ohio, Amel Waugh and Merrill Richard Waugh, both of Crown City; a sister-in-law, Verbie Waugh of Crown City; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Waugh was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Emma Jean Waugh on November 17, 2005, a daughter Karin Fleck and a brother John Lee Waugh. Services will be 2:00 p.m, Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Merel Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Kings Chapel Cemetery.
