Harold Lloyd Davis, 82, of Crown City went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2009 at his residence. Harold was born on April 16, 1926 in Gallia County, the son of the late Lowell S. Davis and Francis Campbell Davis Isaacs. He was retired from the Gallipolis Developmental Center, a member of the Providence Missionary Baptist Church, and proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He also enjoyed gardening. Harold Lloyd is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Mabel Johnson Davis, whom he married March 26, 1949. Also surviving are four daughters, Joyce Boster of Gallipolis, Sharon Robin Fisher of Gallipolis, Donna Gary Michael of Crown City, and Janet Sammy Hall of Claudville, Virginia; nine grandchildren Scott Staci Boster, Chris Jenny Boster, Bradley Fisher, Ryan Fisher, Jeremy Laura Davis, David Michael, Chad Jennifer Michael, Joseph Natalie Hall and Jerry Hall; nine great grandchildren, one sister Noreda Charles Lee Houck of Gallipolis, and a brother Robert Roxanna Isaacs of Perrysburg, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother Charles Lee Davis. Services will be 1 pm Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the Providence Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Troy Delaney officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, March 16, 2009 from 5 pm 8 pm at Willis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Scott Boster, Chris Boster, Brad Fisher, Jeremy Davis, David Michael, and Erick Johnson. Full military rites will be given at the graveside by volunteers of area veteran lodges.
