Harold Edward “Gabby” Duncan, 80, of Crown City, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Holzer Medical Center.
Born on September 17, 1942 in Mason County, West Virginia, Gabby was the son of the late Ray E. and Nettie DeWitt Duncan. Gabby married Bessie Marlene Holley Duncan, who survives him in Crown City. He was a retired farmer and member of Kings Chapel Church.
Gabby is survived by his wife, Bessie Marlene Duncan of Crown City; brother, Pete Duncan; sister, Margaret Walker; brothers-in-law, George Holley and Warren Holley; and sisters-in-law, Janice (Floyd) Stapleton, Naomi (Gene) Brown, and Shirley (Leland Dale) Watson.
In addition to his parents, Gabby was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Duncan; brothers-in-law, Dale D. Holley, Donald Holley, Melvin Holley, and Basil Holley; brother-in-law in infancy, Beuford Holley; sisters-in-law, Doris I. Jeffers, Leslie Stapleton, and Betty Johannesen; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Peter Arnold Holley and Allie B. Lane Holley.
The funeral service for Gabby will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Clyde Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in Kings Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call Friday prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Gabby’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.
