Harold C. Moore

Harold C. Moore, 73, of Gallipolis passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at his residence. Born September 30, 1945 in Athens, Ohio, Harold was the son of the late Harold H. Moore and the late Dorothy Jean Poston Moore Anderson. On December 24, 1972, Harold married Chieko Obata Moore, who survives him in Gallipolis. Harold earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University. In 2016, Harold retired as pastor of the Meigs Christian Center. He also served four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Harold is survived by his wife, Chieko Moore of Gallipolis; son, Nathan Allen Moore of Johnson City, Tennessee; half-brother, Jimmy Anderson of Carey, Ohio; half-sister, Susan Anderson of Cincinnati, Ohio; and uncle, Richard Moore of Round Rock, Texas.
