Harry Lee Fellure

Harry Lee Fellure of Gallipolis passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022.  He was born on May 15, 1929 in Gallia County to the late Irvin and Cassie Sheets Fellure.  Harry Lee was married to Mary Lou Johnson on January 7, 1955.  Harry was a member of the Gallipolis First Church of God.  His first job was at age 18 at Motorized Toy Company in Cleveland, Ohio.  In the early 50’s, he served in the United State Army for two years.  While serving in the Korean War, Sergeant First Class Harry Lee received the Combat Infantry Badge Korean Service Medal with three bronze stars.  After the military, he worked as a truck driver for V.N. Holderman in Columbus, Ohio.  Harry was a skilled heavy equipment operator, and he worked for various construction companies.  Crosset Company located in Cincinnati, Ohio employed Harry as a truck drive for over 25 plus years.  After retiring from Crosset in 1995, he joined his son Gary in forming Fellure Trucking.  He enjoyed hunting and helping others.  He taught his children a strong work ethic and to stay strong to what they believed in.  His children, Gloria, Gary, and Lisa, called their dad their hero.

Harry is survived by his children-daughter, Gloria (George) Shamblin, son, Gary (Tammy) Fellure, and daughter, Lisa (David) Mills; grandchildren, Aaron and Brian Bickle, Amber, Travis, and Cassie Fellure, and Niki Taylor, Stacey Mills and David Mills, Jr.; great grandchildren, Lucas, Regan, and Rowan Bickle, Emmalee, Clinton, Tucker, Boone, and Everett Fellure, Roddy and Peyton Taylor, and Colton and Savannah Mills; and sisters, Lillia Haner and Bernice Stowers.  Harry especially cared and loved his extended family members, Randy and Gary Caldwell, Mike Sanders, and Gene and Jaye Myers.

In addition to Harry’s parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Fellure; brothers, Russell, Howard, Lewis, and Terry Dean; and two sisters, Florence Sheets and Dorothy Houck.

The funeral service for Harry will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at The First Church of God with retired Pastor Paul Voss officiating.  Interment service will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery.  Friends and family may call at the church on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.  Military rites will be given at the graveside by the Gallia County Funeral Detail.  Willis Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Aaron and Brian Bickle, Travis Fellure, and David Mills, Jr., along with Gary and Randy Caldwell.
