Harry Lee Woodyard Sr., 74, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at his residence. He was born March 9, 1939 in Allensburg, Ohio, son of the late James Wilbur and Elma Hazel Murphy Woodyard. Harry married Phyllis Anderson and she survives him. He was a self employed small engine repairman and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Woodyard of Gallipolis; five children, Lee (Lori ) Woodyard of New Orleans, Louisiana, Shelley (Terry) James of Crown City, Wilbur (Sarah) Woodyard of Gallipolis, Todd Woodyard and Bunnie (Mark) Schrock, both of Walls, Mississippi; 15 grandchildren, Kimberly and Zack Woodyard, Jesse (Peggy) James, Seth (Paige) James, Nathan (Dawn) Woodyard, Courtnee Woodyard, Kassy Herman, Mariah Schrock, Kyle, Levi, Ally and Lilly Woodyard, Savannah Torres, Anissa Redd, Desree Schrock; five great grandchildren, Haiden James, Danyll and Alex Torres, Brayden and Aubrey Redd and four more on the way; brothers and sisters, John (Mary) Woodyard, Hatty Compher, Glenna (Adron) Mullins; and many nieces and nephews. He loved his dogs, Louis, Molley and Scooter. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, Wilbur O. Woodyard, Virginia Woodyard, James R. Woodyard, Christine H. Shoemaker, Carolyn Collins, Charles D. Woodyard, and Dorothy Ballard. A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Speaker Roy Bickle officiating. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family.
