Hazel Yvonne Waugh

Hazel Yvonne Waugh, 94, of Crown City, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Harbor Health Care in Ironton, Ohio.

Born on December 25, 1930 in Gallia County, Ohio, Yvonne was the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Grace Adkins Johnson.  Yvonne married Vora Ollie “Buck” Waugh, who preceded her in death on April 27, 2011.  She was a homemaker, an avid reader, and a member of Victory Baptist Church. Yvonne also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.

Yvonne is survived by her children, Bob Johnson of Richwood, Ohio, Debbie (Gean) Watson of Crown City, Shelby Waugh of Crown City, Sheila Watson of Crown City, and Phil Waugh of Gallipolis; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Yvonne was preceded in death by eight brothers; four sisters; a son-in-law, Steve Watson; and a daughter-in-law, Jackie Johnson.

The funeral service for Yvonne will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jacob Watson officiating.  Burial will follow in Victory Cemetery.  Friends and family may call prior to the service on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be Bradley, A.J., J.T., Kalob, Zack, and Phil.  Honorary pallbearer will be Ezra.

The family expresses thanks to the nurses and staff at Harbor Healthcare of Ironton and a special thanks to hospice care nurses Angi and Brittany for their care for and dedication to Mom.
