Hazel Evelyn Wright

Hazel Evelyn Wright, 86, of Gallipolis passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020 at Holzer Medical Center. Born on January 25, 1934 in Gallia County, Ohio, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Floyd D. and Claris Ann Halley Cox. Evelyn was married to Donald E. Wright, who preceded her in death on October 30, 2018. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Gallipolis. Evelyn is survived by her children, Donald Ray (Linda) Wright, Floyd Eugene (Joy) Wright, Terri Lynn Wright (Paul Morgan), Cherri Annamae King, and John Edward (Bridget) Wright all of Gallipolis; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Hayward Lee Cox, Floyd Cox, Allen Cox, Warner Cox, and Charles (Margie) Cox; sisters, Alice Bing and LuElla Hazelbaker; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Reel and Elsie Pauline Cox and brother, Merrill Freddie Cox. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in Pine Street Cemetery with Pastor Eugene Harmon officiating. Willis Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
