Helen Elaine Ryan

Helen Elaine Ryan, 85, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Holzer Medical Center.  She was born on March 27, 1938 in Charleston, West Virginia, daughter of the late Kermit Paul and Virginia Lee Thomas Graham.

Elaine was a homemaker and formerly worked at City Loan & Savings before becoming a mom.  She enjoyed helping others and was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, the Catholic Women's Club, and a member of Central Supply Bowling Team for over 50 years.  Elaine was married to James E. "Jim" Ryan, who survives her in Gallipolis, along with a daughter, Lynette M. "Lyn" Ryan of LaGrange, Illinois; cousin, Susie Chambers of Spring Hill, Tennessee; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dick and Cheryl Ryan of Davenport, Iowa; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Jerry Davis of Freeport, Illinois and Mary and Jim Bradford of Guthrie Center, Iowa; sister-in-law, Lianne Ryan; and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Mass for Elaine will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 with Father Tom Hamm officiating.  Her burial will follow in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Elaine's memory to St. Louis Catholic Church.
