John P. 'Jack' Roderus, 60, of Gallipolis died unexpectedly Monday, August 24, 2009 at the Cabell Huntington Hospital. Jack was born September 11, 1948 in Braddock, PA. to the late William A. and Dorothy E. Sheehan Roderus. He was married to Julia Shawver Roderus and she preceded him in death on February 19, 2006. He was a Salesman, member of the First Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder, The Faternal Order of the ARCHON, where he was the alumni of the year in 2008. an Eagle Scout and a volunteer for GAHS football team for several years. Surviving is his Son and Daughter-in-law Joe and Amber Roderus of Syracuse Oh, Daughter and Son-in-law Jill and Shawn Kilbourn of Clawson, MI. Grandchildren: Gabriel, Jacob, Cassidy, Zoe and Fletcher. Sister and Brother-in-law: Carol and Bob Adamek of Monroeville, PA Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Kent and Lou Ann Shawver of Gallipolis and several nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Dorothy Roderus, his wife Julia and Brother William O. Roderus. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Willis Funeral Home with the Rev Timothy J. Luoma officiating. Burial will follow at the Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. of Thursday August 27, 2009. Pallbearers will Shawn Kilbourn, Bob Adamek, Tom Adamek, John Roderus, Zach Shawver and Sam Shawver. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Jack's memory to the GAHS Athletic Complex c/o of Lori Young P.O.
