Jack E. Williams, 72, took his flight in the arms of Jesus Tuesday, March 16, 2010 surrounded by his family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 23, 1937 in Patriot, Ohio, the son of Evelyn and the late Garland Williams. He was retired from Ohio Valley Supermarkets. He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela J. Williams, of Gallipolis, who he married July 14, 1980; daughter, Cathy Mark Dillon of Bidwell; granddaughters, Misty Paul D. Bradbury of Gallipolis and Mandy Nathan Robinson, of Bidwell and great grandson, Gabe. Also surviving is his mother, Evelyn Williams of Patriot; sister, Betty Baker of Patriot and brother Justin Velma Williams, of Gallipolis; and a host of nieces and nephews. His special buddies, Buster and Nemo; special sister-in-law Sue Hugh Francis, brothers-in-law, Bob Loretta Cox, Phil Cox, and Danny Cox also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Garland Williams, Brother Danny Williams and nephews Danny 'Pete' Williams Jr., also loving in-laws, Rev. Erie E. and Iris Cox. Love and gratitude to his mother Evelyn, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sue and Hugh Francis for the love and care given to him during the last year of his life and special friend Paul Skinner for his visits and Holzer Home Care and Hospice. Calling hours will be Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, Gallipolis. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 19, 2010 at the church with Pastors Eugene Harmon and Robert Fulton officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Street Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Francis, Jonathan Baker, Eric Baker, Andy Williams, Mark Dillon, Paul D. Bradbury, Nathan Robinson and David Baker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hugh Francis, Paul Skinner, Bob Cox, Phil Cox and Danny Cox.
