James F. Brown

James F. Brown, 71, of Bidwell, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Holzer Medical Center. He was born April 1, 1938 in Logan County, West Virginia, son of the late Charlie and Matilda Farley Brown. James was retired from Buckeye Steel. Surviving are two sons, Richard West of Bidwell and James F. VanMeter of Fairborn, Ohio; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Wanda Sue Brown of Ashville. James was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Patricia VanMeter, a grandson, James Leroy Hammon Jr., a brother, Ernest C. Brown and a sister, Hazel Mayfield. There will be no calling hours and services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Willis Funeral Home is serving the family.
