James Robinson Haskins

James Robinson Haskins, 73, of Gallipolis, Ohio died at his home the morning of February 27, 2012. He was born on July 17, 1938 in Gallia County, son of the late Frank (Chink) and Martha McCormick Haskins. Jim was a retired ironworker out of local 787, a member of the Gallipolis Gun Club, Gallipolis Elks Lodge, and the V.F.W. Jim served in the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife Audrey Joann Pope Haskins whom he married on November 29, 1980 in Gallipolis, Ohio. He is also survived by his daughter Jennifer Lee (Shannon) Waggoner of Gallipolis, step-son Frank (Rebecca) Overstreet of Cheshire, Ohio, grandchildren Hannah and Gage Overstreet, sisters Betty Ann (Fred) Cremeans of Athens, Ohio, and Joan (Dennis) Pilarczyk of Cheshire, CN. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and by a grandson Gavin Lee Waggoner. Services will be 2 pm Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Willis Funeral Home. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Willis Funeral Home from 6-8 pm.
