James H. Watson

James Hartley Watson, 83, of Bidwell, Ohio passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Holzer Medical Center.

Born on May 21, 1940 in Gallia County, Ohio, James was the son of the late Hartley Watson and Mariam Danner Watson-Pursley.  On September 22, 1984, James married Barbara Watson, who preceded him in death in 2014.  James was a Cleveland Indians fan.

James is survived by two step children, Katrina (George) Seeger and William Keith Collins of Lancaster, Ohio; three step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren; nephews and nieces, Phillip (Colleen) Sanders of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Timothy (Sandy) Watson and Kimberly (Mike) Dennison both of Crown City, Ohio, and Michelle (John) Meeks of Bokeelia, Florida; and several great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, James was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby G. Watson; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Richard Rodgers; sister-in-law, Audrey Watson; and niece, Karen Diane Sanders.

A Graveside Service for James will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.  Friends may call prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the cemetery.
