Jay Dee Cochran, 49, of Patriot, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. Jay Dee was born on October 19, 1971 in Columbus Ohio, son of the late Ronald Francis Cochran and Cynthia Knight Cochran who survives in Patriot. Jay Dee was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his wheel horse tractor, and hunting. On August 19, 1995, Jay Dee married Amethyst "Amber" McGuire; and she survives him in Patriot. He is also survived by three children, Christal Cochran of Patriot, Timothy Jay Cochran of Gallipolis, and Isabella Cochran of Patriot; two sisters, Lisa Turner of Oak Hill and Tonya Cochran of Gallipolis; two brothers, Raymond Cochran and Donnie Cochran both of Patriot; his special buddy, Carson Cochran; mother-in-law, Carolyn McGuire of Rio Grande; sisters-in-law, Chrissy (Brandon) Janey of Gallipolis and Sarah McGuire of Gallipolis; brother-in-law, Tommy (Kelly) McGuire of Rio Grande; several nieces and nephews; lifelong best friend, Nick Henderson of Gallipolis; and special dog, Stubby. Jay Dee was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, William Jefferson Cochran and Ronald "Frank" Cochran. The Graveside Service for Jay Dee will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Patriot Cemetery with Pastor Doug Miller officiating. Friends may call at Willis Funeral Home from 11 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
