Jeanette Scott

Jeanette Scott, 85, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the Holzer Senior Care Center. She was born July 27, 1925 in Cheshire, Ohio, daughter of the late Bert A. and Cora Yeauger Scott. Jeanette was a 1943 Cheshire High School graduate. She was a veteran of G.C. Murphy Co. and a greeter at Walmart and also a member of Old Kyger Baptist Church. Surviving her are her two sisters, Marjorie Bradbury of Gallipolis and Charlotte Frank Gunter of Charleston, West Virginia; a special niece, Carolyn Victor Dix of Sanibel, Florida; several other special nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Catherine Birtcher, Lillian Scott, Lucille Rathburn, Juanita Ballard and two brothers, Lewis Scott and Charles Scott. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alvis Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Alan Scott, David Gunter, Jeffrey Rathburn, Gary Ballard, Jerald Scott, Chris Rathburn, Randy Scott and Pat Skidmore. Honorary pallbearer will be Victor Dix.
