Jeffrey R. Merry

Jeffrey R. "Jeff" Merry, 69, of Rodney, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at his residence. Jeff was born on October 3, 1952 in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late James R. Merry and Betty Jane Sayre Merry, who survives him in Rodney. He was a graduate of G.A.H.S and was retired from being the parts manager at Red's Garage. Jeff was married to Anita K. DeVault Merry; and she preceded him in death on October 20, 2021. He is survived by his children, Jackie (Mike) Ours of Patriot, Julie (Brett) Cremeens of Gallipolis, Jodi (Andrew) Parsons of Gallipolis, and James Merry (Kristen Conley) of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Layne, MichaelAnne, Coye, Blake, and Merryn Ours, Chanee Cremeens, Graycyn Null, Bayler Cremeens, Brooklin Clonch, Braydon Parsons, and Colby Parsons; his mother, Betty Jane Merry of Rodney; three brothers, Ed (Susy) Merry, Jimmy (Boudi) Merry, and Dave Merry all of Rodney; one sister. Jennie (Russell) Henchey of Rodney; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father and wife, Jeff was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob "Jake" Ours and by a sister, Carolyn Merry. The funeral service for Jeff will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Willis Funeral Home with Rev. John Jackson officiating. His burial will follow in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
