Jo Burnett Garbesi

Jo Burnett Garbesi, 68, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at her residence.  Jo was born on April 26, 1954 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Clyde B. and Freeda Dunn Burnett.  She was a Registered Nurse, retiring from Holzer Medical Center in 2019.  Jo worked in the OB-GYN and Surgical Departments for the majority of her nursing career.  She was a 1972 graduate of Gallia Academy High School and a 1975 graduate of the Holzer School of Nursing.  Jo loved cooking, gardening, and her animals.

Jo was married to Robert K. "Bob" Garbesi on June 27, 1981; and he survives her along with two daughters, Jessica Garbesi and Maria Garbesi both of Chillicothe, Ohio; two brothers, John (Belinda) Burnett and Tom (Tonia) Burnett both of Gallipolis; one sister, Robin (George) Wharton of Cleveland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Jo will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Northup officiating.  The Nurse Honor Guard of the Ohio Valley will give tribute to Jo for her nursing career on Thursday evening at the funeral home.  Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
