Born on October 9, 1974 in Cleveland, Ohio, Jody was the son of Todd Bowers and Teresa Lindsey Bowers. On May 28, 1994, Jody married Tonya Lemley Bowers, who survives him in Crown City. Jody was a graduate of River Valley High School Class of 1993 and a chief engineer for 24 years for Crounse Corporation. He was a “Father of Pugs” and an OSU fan.
Jody is survived by his wife, Tonya Bowers of Crown City; son, Colton Bowers of Crown City; daughter, Cheyenna Bowers of Crown City; father, Todd Bowers of Crown City; mother, Teresa Bowers of Crown City; brothers, Jeremy (Candy) Bowers of Gallipolis, Ohio and Jason (Jennifer) Bowers of Crown City; mother-in-law, Dee Clagg of Gallipolis; and several nieces and nephews.
Jody was preceded in death by a brother, Justin Bowers on June 18, 1997.
The funeral service for Jody will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the funeral home.
