John Frazier Gray

John Frazier Gray, 80, of Gallipolis, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Holzer Assisted Living. He was born January 20, 1930 in Charleston, West Virginia, son of the late James M. and Margaret Rose Frazier Gray. John was married to Betty Jane Gray and she preceded him in death on March 7, 2008. He was retired from Goodyear and the United States Air Force. John was a member of the Point Pleasant American Legion Post #23 and the Masonic Lodge in San Antonio, Texas. He retired from the United States Air Force where he served in both Korea and Vietnam. Surviving are his four children, John M. Denise Gray of Waverly, Ohio, Carol A. Andrew O’Connell of Wilmington, Ohio, Jeff F. Jeanette Gray of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Susan K. Jones of Pt. Pleasant, WV; two grandchildren, Kenneth S. Gray and Kathryn Anne Gray. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty Jane Gray, a brother James M. Gray II and a son-in-law Charles R. Jones II. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Chapman. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. Full military rites will be by members of Pt. Pleasant American Legion #23.
