John David Johnny Altizer Ii

John David Johnny Altizer II, 39, went to be with his Lord, Jesus in Heaven, unexpectedly on Monday, June 25, 2007 at his residence in Jackson, Ohio. He was born November 14, 1967 in Gallipolis, the beloved son of Nancy Ann Montgomery Altizer and the late John David Altizer. He graduated from Gallia Academy High School, Class of 1986. He enjoyed the NFL Oakland Raiders and the Cincinnati Reds. Johnny will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his Mom, Nancy, he is survived by a sister, Loretta Lynn Altizer Eblen of Gallipolis; a nephew, Derek Allen Eblen and a niece, Brandi Lynn Ellis, both of Gallipolis; a friend, Marion L. Angell of Crown City; maternal grandmother, Virginia K. Montgomery of Crown City; paternal grandmother, Audrey Altizer of Gallipolis; uncles, James E. Sharon Kay Montgomery and Lyndon M. Montgomery, both of Crown City; aunts, Carla Kay Danny Roach of Crown City and Donna Altizer of Gallipolis; a special great uncle, Thomas J. “Tom” Montgomery of Crown City; a special great aunt, Mable M. Halley of Crown City; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, John David Altizer, maternal grandfather, Carl M. Montgomery and paternal grandfather, Vern Altizer. Services will be 1 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2007 at the Willis Funeral Home with Jane Ann Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Creek Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service.
