John Paul “Hook” Woodall, 56, of Crown City, Ohio passed away at his residence on Saturday, August 31, 2013. Hook was born on July 16, 1957 in Gallipolis, Ohio son of the late Frank E. and Evelyn Virginia Burnette Woodall. He had been a deck hand for Ingram Barge Line, farmer, laborer, and enjoyed outdoor activities. He is survived by his son Andrew (Amanda) Nibert of Crown City, Ohio, three grandchildren Conner, Clayton and Cooper, his fiancé Rosetta Jenkins of Crown City, two sisters Tamara Darlene (Terry) Groves of Vinton, Joyce Marie (Mark) Banks of Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia, two brothers James Aaron Woodall of Gallipolis and Jerrod Matthew (Aimee) Woodall of Patriot, Sisters-in-law Sally Woodall of Pt. Pleasant, and Louise Woodall of Gallipolis, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by brothers Frankie, David, Mark Anthony, Howard Stephen, and Charles Joseph Woodall, and by one sister Crystal Ann Clary. Services will be 7:30 pm Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Joe “Skeeter” Woodall officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday at the funeral home from 6 pm until the time of service. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery on Thursday September 5, 2013 at 11 am.
