JoLynn Matin, 62, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. Born on April 4, 1958 in Montgomery, West Virginia, JoLynn was the daughter of the late Alfred Matoma and Kozy Marie O’Dell. On August 25, 1974, JoLynn married David Martin, who survives her in Gallipolis. She retired from Job & Family Services and was formerly employed at the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office. JoLynn loved spending time with family and friends; she enjoyed traveling on their sternwheeler entertaining and feeding her guests. JoLynn is survived by her husband, David Martin of Gallipolis; daughter, Misty (Jeff) Dyer of Oak Hill, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Misty Newell of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; daughter, Callie (David) McCarty of Glasgow, Kentucky; grandchildren, Justin, Izy, Alyssa, Alexis, Abella, Kerri Jo, Alex, Gage, Megan, and Chris; great grandchildren, Janson, Carter, Nevaeh, and Jax; and siblings, Arbutus (Ernie) Saunders of Gallipolis, Hazel (Troy, deceased) Boggess of Gallipolis, Roger (Janice) O’Dell of Ashtabula, Ohio, Terry (Debbie) O’Dell of Gallipolis, and Harry (Chris) O’Dell of Gallipolis.
