Jonnie Elizabeth Smith-Tuggle

Jonnie Elizabeth Smith-Tuggle, 63, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Holzer Medical Center. Jonnie was born on August 19, 1957 in Ft. Elgin Air Force Base, daughter of the late Robert Lee Smith and Mildred E. "Jean" Rich. She was a retired LPN, having worked as a nurse for twenty-six years. Jonnie enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking, horses, and her dog Bear. Jonnie is survived by her daughters, Jeanie Gomez (Devin Erlewine) of Wilkesville, Ohio and Kathryn (Justin) Ferguson of Patriot; grandchildren Cameron, Natalie, Carter, Kylie, Jordyn, and Wyatt; sisters, Jackie (Cliff) Clifton of London, Ohio, Barbara Sandoval of Corpus Christi, Texas, Margie (Rod) Knisley of Washington C.H., Ohio, and Diane (Doc) Smith-Ripley of London, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; a close family friend, John Osborne of Galloway, Ohio; and many special friends. In addition to her parents, Jonnie was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Charlie Tuggle; a brother, Tommy Smith; and a sister, Janie Hendrix. A Celebration of Jonnie's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Raccoon Creek County Park at the Turkey Shelter House.
