Juanita L. Niday, 77, of Gallipolis, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio surrounded by her family. She was born July 25, 1933 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Leo and Mayme Drummond Shaver. Juanita was retired from Holzer Medical Center and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Juanita was a 1951 GAHS graduate. Juanita had been married to and is survived by her former husband Wayne Niday of Gallipolis, and from this marriage four children were born, Robin (Gary) Lane, Jim Niday, Lisa (John) Rumley, all of Gallipolis and Boudi (Jim) Merry of Rodney; seven grandchildren, Kaci (Stuart) Osborne and Cody Lane, both of Columbus, Leslie Niday and Lindsey Niday, both of Gallipolis, Katy (Rick) Clary of Crown City, David Rumley and Kelly Bonice (Nate Cummons), both of Gallipolis; four great grandchildren, Isaac, Emma and Olivia Clary, and Laney Osborne, with Lilly Osborne expected in June; a sister-in-law, Lois Shaver of Gallipolis; an uncle, Bob (Jean) Shaver of Hurricane, WV; special friends, Martha and Londell Browning and Barbara Arthur; several nieces and nephews; and special pet cats, Zackie and Zoey. In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Shaver. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Thomas officiating. Friends may call from 11-1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.
