Judy Bailey

January 13, 1944 — October 28, 2024

Judy Bailey, 80, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her beloved husband, Scott Bailey.  Judy lived a long and fulfilling life, deeply devoted to her family.  As a dedicated mother, she treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.  Her role as mawmaw brought her immense joy.  Judy was the former owner of Food Mart 218.

Judy is survived by her loving daughters:  Lisa (Frank) Faudree of Rio Grande, Ohio; Teresa Evans of Winfield, West Virginia; and Kim (Mark) Gerstler of Washington Court House, Ohio.  She was an adored mawmaw to her grandchildren:  Chris and Kelli Evans, Gretchen Ehman, Frank Faudree, and Kelsea and Chase Porter.  Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren:  Savannah Dyer, Easton and Sophie Ehman, Porter Young, and Charlotte and Laith Porter.  Judy is survived by one sister, Kay Easton of Bowling Green, Kentucky and one sister-in-law, Sherry McBride, along with several nieces and nephews.

In 1962, Judy married her first love, Edward Feustel, who preceded her in death in 1993.  Together, they raised their three daughters, Lisa, Teresa, and Kim.  In 1995, Judy met the second love of her life, Scott Bailey.  They shared many adventures traveling by motorcycle across the United States, camping, and spending cherished time with family.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Hannah Rutan McBride; brothers, Bill, Pat, Mike, and Jim McBride; and sisters, Eleanor Nolan, Virginia Tipton, Frances Hayes, and Jane Werry, as well as brothers-in-law, Harold Hayes, Anthony Werry, and Jack Easton.

Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  Her spirit and love for her family will forever remain in our hearts.

In keeping with Judy’s wishes, there will be no public service.  Cremation is under the direction of Willis Funeral Home.
