Junior E. Massie

Junior E. Massie, 54, of Patriot, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011 at his residence. He was born June 20, 1957 in Waterloo, Ohio, son of the late Willard Glen and Rebacca Eloise White Massie. He was a timber cutter, a lifelong coon hunter and also an avid deer hunter. Surviving are his wife, Penny Massie of Gallipolis; his significant other, Annette Haming of Patriot; five children, Rebacca Buckner of Crown City, Christy Ward (Andrew Willis) of Vinton, Christopher Massie and Matt Massie (Dorthy Payne), both of Bidwell, and Tyler Massie of Gallipolis; other special children, Vickie Siders (Brian Davis) of Bidwell and Amanda (Mark) Chafin of Williamson, WV; nine grandchildren; his sister, Rosie (Tom) Sinnott of Ironton; his brother, Kevin W. (Camela) Massie of Jackson; a brother-in-law, Earl Ireland of Wellston. Junior was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Patricia Massie and Lois Ireland, brothers, Russell, David, William and Randall Massie, and a grandson Collin Pennington. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Willis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Flagspring Cemetery.
