Karen Lee Layton

Karen Lee Layton of Gallipolis went home to be with God on Sunday, August 25, 2019 with her family surrounding her. Karen was born in Point Pleasant the daughter of Edward Finney and Pearl Aileen Layton. Karen turned her passion into a career and became a local hair dresser, even owning her shop. Her talents then took her to Cincinnati where she worked for Regis Corporation as a trainer. She truly loved being able to travel and open salons across the country. Eventually, she came back home to Gallipolis and she worked for Infocision for the last 12 years. Karen is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Buttrick (Roger) and son, Chad Johnson (BJ); grandchildren, Ashley Wickline, Morgan Johnson, Hannah Johnson, and Lynzie Johnson; siblings, Tom Layton, Dixie Walker (Roger), Eddie Layton (Jane), Don Layton (Amy), Brian Layton, and Laloni Ayers (Eddie); many nieces and nephews; and two special nieces, Rachel and Lizzie Ayers. Karen was preceded in death by her father and mother, her sister Brenda Nott, niece Sarah Nott, and nephew Jace Layton. There will be a private family memorial.
