Leah S. Simpson, 35, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Holzer Medical Center. Born on January 29, 1986 in Gallipolis, Ohio, Leah was the daughter of Teresa Ponn-Lemaster and David Bunnell. On September 27, 2014, Leah married Cole G. Simpson, who survives her in Gallipolis. Leah graduated from Wellston High School in 2004, earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from University of Rio Grande in 2018, and was pursuing her MBA from Ashland University. She was a member of Delta Theta sorority. Leah worked for Advanced Home Solutions. She enjoyed crafting, baking, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Leah is survived by her husband, Cole G. Simpson of Gallipolis; mother, Teresa (Jim) Ponn-Lemaster of Wellston, Ohio; father, David (Diane) Bunnell of Wisconsin; siblings, Lane Bunnell of Wellston, Tonya Holmes of Jackson, Ohio, and Cassie Bunnell of Jackson; stepbrother, Ken Lemaster of Wellston; uncle, Deron (Kathy) Ponn of Blacklick, Ohio; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Randle and Cindy Simpson, Jr. of Gallipolis; sister-in law, Jordan (T.J.) Washington of Gallipolis; brother-in-law, Chase (Bailey) Simpson of Gallipolis; several nieces and nephews including special ones, Heidi “Princess” Washington, Colton “Scoots” Washington, and Oliver “Munchie” Simpson; and grandparents-in-law, Mary Thomas of Gallipolis and Randle and Penny Simpson of Gallipolis. Leah was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herb and Gerry Ponn and grandfather-in-law, Cuddy Thomas. The funeral service for Leah will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Willis Funeral Home with Reverend Joshua Sherwood officiating. Friends and family will meet after the service on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Salem Cemetery in Jackson County, Ohio for her burial.
