Leland "Lee" Harris

Leland “Lee” Harris was surrounded by his children as he peacefully passed away at home on Friday, May 31, 2024. Lee was born on February 25, 1952 in Newark, Ohio, the son of the late Edward Gale Harris and Margaret (Nedwell Harris) McConnell.

Lee enjoyed a long career before retiring from AEP’s Gavin Electric Power Plant. He loved watching and playing sports, especially golf. He loved listening to and playing music, particularly guitar and harmonica. More than anything, Lee loved spending time with his family and his many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cindy Harris.

He is survived by his children, Brad (Lisa Nelson) Harris, Derek (LeAnna) Harris, and Michelle (Chad Long) Crisenbery; granddaughters, Kelsey (Julian Silvey) Crisenbery, Nia Harris, and Brooke (Carson) Watts; grandsons, Kaleb (Hailey Jo Ehman) Crisenbery, Jesse Harris, Tristin (Cali Barnes-Pierotti) Crisenbery, and David Harris; great-grandsons, Kyrie Gibbs, Julz Silvey, and Ari Silvey; his sisters, Linda Monroe and Jennifer Salsbury; his nieces and nephews; and countless friends.

A Celebration of Lee’s Life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, June 8, 2024 with time to visit with the family at the end of the service. The celebration will be at Willis Funeral Home at 12 Garfield Avenue, Gallipolis, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you have a good meal or a round of golf with your loved ones and think of Lee.
