Lola Marie Holley

Lola Marie Holley, 75, of Gallipolis, Ohio went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 21, 2010 at her residence. She was born on October 19, 1934 in Jackson County, West Virginia daughter of the late Harry Harper and Dellia Lucas McCoy. She was a cheerful homemaker, a faithful member of the Promiseland Community Church formerly Centenary United Christian Church. She is survived by her husband Melvin “Jack” Holley whom she married on June 7, 1974 of Gallipolis. She is also survived by her 6 children Darrell Connie Johnson, David “Red Dog” Johnson, Donnie Vonda Johnson, Brenda Gene Myers, Truman Rosemary Johnson, and Sharon Duke Siders all of Gallipolis, six step-children Earl “Bub” Marjorie Holley, June Jerry Bennett, Pam Bobby Callicoat, Patricia Holley, Paul Denise Holley, Mary Tom Brumfield; 13 Grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, and 4 step great grandchildren, a special cousin Shelby Shaffer of Charleston, West Virginia and her best friend Francis Hayden of Gallipolis, and a host of other family and friends. Lola was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Truman Johnson, two twin brothers Norvile and Orvile Hackney, a sister Eva McTarsney, a grandson Jamie Lee Myers and a great granddaughter Katelyn Ann Ireland and by her step father Virgil McCoy. Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday May 25, 2010 at the Promiseland Community Church 4905 Clay Chapel Road Gallipolis, Ohio with Rev. Sampy Hart officiating. Burial will follow in the Kings Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, May 24, 2010 at Willis Funeral Home from 6-9 pm. Pallbearers will be Mike Myers, Jason Johnson, Tim Siders, Shawn Myers, Matt Henry, Mark Dunlap and Joseph Woodall. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Johnson, James Smith, Tom Cook, Richard Trout and Shelby Shaffer. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Promiseland Community Church 4905 Clay Chapel Rd.
