Loreda G. Cummons

Loreda G. Cummons, 42, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at her residence. She was born November 17, 1964 in Gallipolis to Melvin Lee and Sharon Sanders Church and they survive her. Loreda was married to Mark Cummons on September 4, 1983 in Gallipolis and he also survives her. She was a 1983 graduate of Hannan Trace High School. She was a former secretary at Holzer Clinic and Kyger Creek Power Plant. She was a member of Kings Chapel Church. Loreda enjoyed her family and friends and above everything she loved being a Grandma. Surviving are her husband, Mark Cummons of Gallipolis; two sons, Scottie Courtney Cummons and Nathan Cummons, both of Gallipolis; a daughter, Brittani Cummons of Gallipolis; a granddaughter, Kaylee Jo McBrayer and a granddaughter, Sadie expected in September; her parents, Melvin Lee and Sharon Church of Gallipolis; one sister, Stephanie Kevin Riggs of Gallipolis; one brother, William “Willie” Tammy Church of Gallipolis; a half brother, Pat Church of Vermont; nieces and nephews, Tori Church, Nathan Stevens, Mark Church, Kindra Riggs, Kevin Riggs, Leah Cummons, Stacie Cummons, Katie, Lindsey and Erica Church; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tom and Geraldine Cummons of Gallipolis; two brothers-in-law, Jerry Susan Cummons of Crown City and Randy Cummons of Gallipolis; special aunts, Imogene and Irene Church of Gallipolis; several aunts, uncles, family and friends. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastors Dean Warner and Matthew Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, July 6, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Scottie Cummons, Nate Cummons, Josh West, Kyle Watson, Judd Swindler and Josh Burnett.
