Lori J. Somerville, 51, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Holzer Medical Center. Lori was born on April 6, 1961 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of Floyd E. and Janice Holley Stapleton who survive her in Gallipolis, Ohio. She was a 1979 graduate of Hannan Trace High School, where she was the class salutatorian, participated in the band and was a member of its National Honor Society, and a former Candy Striper at Holzer Medical Center. Lori was a hair stylist and cosmetologist and a graduate of the Huntington Beauty School. She enjoyed bowling and attended Kings Chapel Church. Lori is survived by her daughter, Micah (Andrew) Gardner of Gallipolis, Micah’s best friend Heather Simmers (Lori’s second daughter)of Patriot, Ohio, step-children Tabitha Somerville of Gallipolis and Christopher Somerville of Pt. Pleasant, WV; grandchildren, Allorah O’Dell, Haven and Ava Gardner of Gallipolis, Her parents, Floyd and Janice Stapleton of Gallipolis, sisters Cynthia D. ”Cindy” (Robert R.) Howard of Thurman, and Debra S. (Thom) Greene of Gallipolis, and by a brother Eric (Flora) Stapleton of Gallipolis. Special friends Ivan Hurt, Sylvia Clark both of Bidwell, Teresa Angel of Crown City, and Cheryl Taylor of Gallipolis; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 3 pm Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Kings Chapel Church with Evangelist Matthew Henry and Clyde Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in Kings Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at Willis Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 6-8 pm. Pallbearers will be Dave Somerville, Eric Stapleton, Bernie Fulks, Jason Howard, Tim Howard, and Matthew Church; Honorary Pallbearer will be Andrew Gardner.
