Lucille Smith

Lucille Smith, 93, of Gallipolis, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at her residence. She was born April 29, 1916 in Cabin Creek, West Virginia, daughter of the late Albert and Stella Stowers Brewer. Lucille was married to Ardell F. Smith and he preceded her in death in 1983. She was the first cook at the Addaville School and attended Good News Baptist Church. Lucille also enjoyed reading and gardening. Surviving are her daughter, Stella Johnny Howell of Silver Springs, Florida; two sons, David Sandi Smith of Phoenix, Arizona and Roger Sandy Smith of Rutland; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; one brother, Don Emma Brewer of Wellsville. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ardell F. Smith, a son, Maxie C. Smith, a granddaughter Kellie Dawn Kirker, and two sisters, Pat Mims and Katie Wilson. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Cliff Curry officiating. Burial will follow in Reynolds Cemetery.
