Lyle S. Sheets

Lyle S. Sheets, 75, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Abbyshire Place. Born on November 21, 1944 in Gallipolis, Ohio, Lyle was the son of the late Milfred S. and Gail Cox Sheets. Lyle was a river boat captain for AEP. He graduated from Gallia Academy High School where he played basketball. Lyle served in the U.S. Army. Lyle is survived by his daughter, Maria (Will) Gaul of Gallipolis; son, Brent S. Sheets of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Lee Gaul, Caden Gaul, Kaitlyn Sheets, and Adam Forcier; and brothers, Jeffrey Sheets and Michael (Beth) Sheets. In addition to his parents, Lyle was preceded in death by his brothers, Allen Sheets and David Sheets. The graveside service for Lyle will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Mina Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Mark Killen officiating. Willis Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
