M. Naomi Tipple

M. Naomi Tipple, 88, of Gallipolis, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the Holzer Senior Care Center. She was born April 22, 1921 in Dillonvale, Ohio, daughter of the late Franklin Blaine and Dorothy Madge Manifold Umbour. Naomi was married to Marion Edwin Tipple on September 3, 1944 and he preceded her in death on September 12, 1960. She was a retired bank teller. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Ada, Ohio and served as their treasurer for 20 years. Surviving her are her son, Richard B. 'Rick' Tipple of Gallipolis; two grandsons, Christopher Jenny Tipple and Nicholas Heidi Tipple, both of Gallipolis; great grandchildren, Ray, Ethan, Emma, and Hannah Grace, expected at the end of the month. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marion Edwin Tipple, a daughter-in-law, Deborah L. 'Debbie' Tipple, two sisters and a brother. Services will be 7 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Thom Mollohan officiating. Friends may call from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service. A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday July 17, 2009 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Naomi's memory to the American Heart Association.
