Maggie Clark

Mary Magdalene "Maggie" Clark, 61, of Portsmouth, Ohio, formerly of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Portsmouth on Friday, May 10, 2024.

Maggie was born on July 23, 1962 in Gallipolis, Ohio at Holzer Hospital, daughter of the late Clyde E. Clark and Evelyn Rhodes Clark who survives in Gallipolis.  In addition to her mother, Maggie is survived by two sisters, Patricia Clark and Regina Flanagan both of Gallipolis; nieces, Devan (Dana) Gillispie of Vinton, Ohio and Amanda Weaver of Biloxi, Mississippi; great nephews, Tucker and Parker Kiskis; great niece, Vayda Gillispie; and her long-time companion, Larry Mullins of Portsmouth and his extended family, Cody (Whitney) Mullins and their sons Beckett and Zeke of Winfield, Indiana, Chelsey Mullins Gose and her daughter Arlee of Ashland, Ohio, and Cailey Mullins (Connor) Cooke and their sons Sam and Dean of Dublin, Ohio.  In addition to her father, Maggie was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy S. Sheets and a brother, Clyde E. Clark, Jr.

Maggie was employed as a Medical Lab Technician at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.  She formerly worked as a Lab Manager at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley, West Virginia, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, and at King's Daughters in Ashland, Kentucky.  Maggie was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School, Class of 1980; she graduated from the University of Rio Grande in 1982 with a degree in Medical Lab Technology.  She loved her dogs, the Cleveland Browns, and Dr. Who.  She was active in many community activities in Portsmouth.

The funeral service for Maggie will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Hood officiating.  Her burial will follow in Addison Reynolds Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service.
