Marceline “Mary” Slack, 85, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at her residence. She was born December 23, 1927 in Birchton, West Virginia, daughter of the late Feldon and Maggie Earls Gray. Mary married the Rev. Wilbur C. Slack on June 1, 1946 and he survives her. Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church, Cleveland, Ohio, attended Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, and was a member of Ladies Aid at Cora Mill. Surviving are her husband, Rev. Wilbur C. Slack of Gallipolis; one son, John Michael (Sandra Kay) Slack of Gallipolis; seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; and one brother, Sam (Helen) Gray of Chapin, South Carolina. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by three daughters, Peggy Ann Starr, Debra Slack and Tammy Slack, four sisters and four brothers. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Pritchard officiating. Entombment will follow at Chapel of Hope Mausoleum, Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.
